Hand Talk - American Sign Language (ASL) teaching aid

Hand Talk is an American Sign Language (ASL) teaching aid created with the intention of marketing towards schools and customer facing business. While working in retail, I noticed a language barrier between the hearing and the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (HOH) that didn’t allow me to provide the full customer service experience to them. In order to fix this problem, I came up with the solution of creating teaching aids that could be featured in schools and businesses. I created characters that are fun and relatable to the varying age demographic and teaching aids that make learning the material fun and inviting. This project provided insight into targeting towards a specific audience.
